Diablo reels have been tested for several years under great stress and 2instincts has its own test station where we thoroughly test all our reel models, both above and under water.
You choose between right and left crank when purchasing. It is not possible to change from right to left crank and vice versa. This is to ensure that no one has been inside the brake cylinder and tampered with details and perhaps misplaced certain parts during reassembly. We have experienced this repeatedly on most other reels and decided early on that this would not be possible with the Diablo models. We are sure that as long as the brake cylinder is not opened, your 2instincts Diablo fly reel will always work as you want. It is an extra guarantee for you as a angler.
